Medical GAP Insurance

Please note: Hays CISD currently offers a Limited Medical GAP Plan and Supplemental Medical GAP PlanThe Medical GAP plan offered to you via the online enrollment system is strictly based upon and contingent on your medical plan election made during the enrollment process. Please see below for more detailed information on the pairing of these supplemental plans offered.

Limited Medical GAP Plan This Limited Medical GAP Plan is paired with the TRS 1-HD Medical Plan (HDHP). If enrolled in the  TRS 1-HD Medical Plan (HDHP), you may only select the Limited Medical Gap Plan.

 

Supplemental Medical GAP Plan – This Supplemental Medical GAP Plan is paired with the TRS ActiveCare Select and TRS ActiveCare 2  Medical Plans.  If enrolled in the TRS ActiveCare Select or TRS ActiveCare 2  medical plans, you may on ly select the Supplemental Medical Gap Plan.

 
Eligibility:

All full-time employees who work at least twenty (20) hours per week are eligible for coverage the first of the month following their date of hire.

Coverage is available through age 64 and terminates at Age 65 or Medicare Eligible
